Safety instructions
- Read the instructions printed on every pack carefully before lighting any firecracker. Different fireworks may have different safety requirements, so always follow the instructions provided with each product.
- Light firecrackers only outdoors in a clear and open area, away from houses, buildings, vehicles, dry grass, trees, electrical wires, and anything else that can easily catch fire.
- Keep a bucket of water or sand nearby before you begin. Make sure it is easily accessible throughout the celebration so you can respond quickly if there is an unexpected fire or emergency.
- Children must use firecrackers only under the direct supervision of a responsible adult. An adult should remain nearby and ensure that children maintain a safe distance from the fireworks.
- Wear comfortable cotton clothes and proper footwear while lighting crackers. Avoid loose, flowing, or synthetic clothing, as these materials can catch fire easily.
- Light only one cracker at a time. Keep the firecracker at arm's length while lighting it, then move away immediately and maintain a safe distance.
- Never hold a lit cracker in your hand, throw a lit cracker at another person, or carry firecrackers in your pocket. Never modify, dismantle, combine, or experiment with fireworks.
- If a cracker does not go off, do not approach it immediately, relight it, or pick it up. Wait at least 10 minutes before approaching it, then soak it in water and dispose of it safely.
- Keep unused crackers away from the crackers being lit. Store them in a cool and dry place, away from heat, flames, sparks, and other sources of ignition.
- Do not burst crackers near hospitals, petrol pumps, fuel storage areas, schools, crowded public places, or other sensitive locations. Keep fireworks away from vehicles, buildings, dry vegetation, and anything that may catch fire.
- Always follow the local rules and regulations regarding the permitted timings, locations, and types of crackers allowed in your area.
- Be considerate of children, elderly people, pets, neighbours, and others who may be affected by loud sounds or smoke. Use fireworks responsibly and avoid unnecessary risks during celebrations.
- In case of a burn, immediately hold the affected area under cool running water. For serious burns or other injuries, seek medical help immediately.
- Celebrate responsibly and make safety a priority. By following the instructions, maintaining a safe distance, supervising children, and respecting local rules, we can make every celebration safer, happier, and more enjoyable for everyone.
